Nepal Britain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NBCCI) is privileged to manage and organise for the fifth year in succession, the "British Pavilion" at the Himalayan Expo 2001 to be held from April 20 to 24, 2001.

The British Pavilion is joint effort. It is sponsored by trade partners UK. promoted by the British Embassy in Nepal and organized by the Nepal Britain Chamber of Commerce & Industry. 

This year there will be 20 exhibitors at the British Pavilion the profiles of the exhibitors vary from Airlines, Shipping Lines, Captive Power Generator Manufacturers, fast moving consumer products like cosmetics and Personal Health Care, Lubricants, Alcoholic Beverages, Banking, Hotel and Tourism, Freight forwarding, Security, Education, Information Technology, Industrial components and defense related items etc. 


NBCCI is confident that both business and general visitors to the British Pavilion will be immensely benefited by visiting the pavilion. This time NBCCI will also arrange for on-line uploading of the pavilion at its web site - WWW.NBBCCI.ORG.NP The visitors can access the site on computer at our stall and learn about our various services we provide. This will also enable interested people to have a look at the pavilion through their Desktop/Laptops sitting in their Offices/Homes. 

A special issue of our newsletter - "Nepal Britain Calling", to mark this occasion of Himalayan Expo 2000 will also be published and made available at our stall.

A Special British Film Festival is also being organised jointly with the British Embassy and the British Council and sponsored by the Nepal Arab Bank Limited and Gopi Krishna Movies Pvt. Ltd. At the Gopi Krishna Cinema Hall from April 19, 2001. Three popular British Films will be screened on April 20 to 22, 2001. This is open and free for all and no entry fee will be charged. 

NBCCI would like to express its sincere gratitude's to the trade partners UK and British Embassy for their confidence on our management capability and entrusting us to manage the British Pavilion for the fifth successive year. We also express our sincere gratitude's to the British Ambassador H.E. Ronald P. Nash and Deputy Head of Mission Mr. Andrew Mitchell, Whose support and dynamic direction has helped us a lot to achieve this success.

NBCCI is also optimistic that the trade and industrial activities in Nepal in the coming year will show positive growth. NBCCI also requests HIS Majesty's Government to take appropriate steps in creating conductive environment and for industrial security to promote and retain direct foreign investment in to Nepal, which at present is almost negligible.
