Mr. Nicholas also conducted an interaction program with our members in the Embassy Hall on October 31, 2000. This program was organized for finding out the expectations of the members from the Chamber and how the Chamber could be of more use and help to the members.
His observation, evaluations and suggestions have been summed up in a report, which he has submitted to the President. The Office Bearers will meet separately to look into his report.

10 Golden Rules For Success
NBCCI, with the view of providing its members with better facilities and increasing its scope of service, organized a talk program on “The Principles of Doing Business” on October 22, 2000 at the Embassy Hall. It was attended by more than 100 distinguished persons from different fields.
William Johnson, Managing Director of PDN (one of the biggest consultant firms of UK) and a self-made millionaire from the United Kingdom, gave a talk on the importance of the internet in today’s competitive business world.
The 10 Golden Rules for the success of business, according to Mr. Johnson, are:
1. Define your business by what you know, not what you do
2. Create an internal market for ideas
3. Create a cause, not a business
4. Remove risks from staff trying to innovate
5. Small is Beautiful (in Project Terms)
6. Set outlandish aspirations
7. Create an internal market that attracts talent to opportunities in company
8. Reward: if you want to eat you have got to kill
9. Work with youth: they live closer to the future
10. Raise your aspiration
The talk program was followed by cocktails in the Sterling Club at the Embassy.
Our due thanks to the British Embassy & Deputy Head of Mission, Mr. Andrew Mitchell, for their help and co-operation for this program.
A copy of his presentation can be obtained from the office of NBCCI at the British Embassy.
