Our centre offers access to a wide range of British education, information and development services. The Council’s mission is to strengthen the relationship between Britain and Nepal by promoting awareness and use of British experience and expertise in areas of importance to Nepal’s national development.  Our major services include: • English Teaching: we run courses in General English, Conversation Skills and preparatory courses for the IELTS as well as specialist courses in English for professionals. • Examinations: 2000 British examinations are administered by the Council each year. These include the General Certificate of Education, the IELTS Test and a number of professional examinations. • Knowledge and Learning Centre: provides a membership book loan and reference facility. We have 3200 members, hold around 10000 books, 300 educational and management videos, 35 journals, 50 CD-ROMs and 200 audiocassettes and also provide Internet access. • Information Centre: provides information about the full range of British education courses, institutional prospectuses and CD-ROM databases on courses in the UK.
