The trade and investment relationship between the UK and Nepal is built around people – a better foundation, in the long run, than sea lanes, air hubs or even the internet. Under the able leadership of Dr. Roshan Rathi and his team, I am confident that the Nepal Britain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NBCCI), working closely with partners in the UK, will take our T&I relations to a height which befits the long friendship between our peoples.

Message from the President Message from the President

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Nepal Britain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NBCCI). As a bilateral chamber promoting trade, commerce, investments and job creation between Nepal and the UK I urge relevant institutions to collaborate with us to maximise the business potential between the two countries. At NBCCI, our core focus remains to serve our members, lobby with the regulators and relevant authorities which can assist businesses to grow. We  remain committed to work closely with our partners, such as the FNCCI, CNI, NCC, Department of Business and Trade UK, the British Embassy in Nepal as well as the Nepalese Embassy in London. I urge UK institutions wanting to do business in Nepal, to reach out to us and we will assist in all possible ways. Similarly, we welcome Nepalese companies wanting to work with British companies to collaborate and grow business together.

Nepal and the UK have had fantastic relations for over 200 years. Nepal is in the middle of crossroads seeking growth and employment for young people, there are a lot of opportunities where Nepal needs to explore and can offer competitive advantage, whereas the UK has the technology, expertise and experience of being a global player. Both the countries have a lot of scope for business collaboration and growth and the people to people connection between Nepal and the UK makes it even more viable for enhanced collaboration. NBCCI also wishes to continue to further collaborate with the Non Resident Nepalese in the UK to bring expertise and their experience for the prosperity of Nepal.

Furthermore, I encourage companies to become NBCCI members to best utilize this platform and work together for the common good of growing the business between Nepal and the UK.
