Kathmandu, 17 November 2025 – The Nepal Britain Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NBCCI) convened its Extraordinary General Body Meeting (EGM) in Kathmandu, announcing a newly appointed Executive Committee that will steer the Chamber for the next three-year term. The gathering brought together leading representatives from Nepal’s corporate, banking, development, and trade sectors.
The meeting was chaired by outgoing President Mr. Rajendra K. Khetan, who emphasized NBCCI’s renewed direction in strengthening bilateral economic cooperation. He highlighted the growing opportunities for Nepal–UK trade and investment, particularly following the reactivation of the UK Department for Business and Trade in Nepal and the increasing focus on fostering commercial partnerships.
A major highlight of the meeting was the conferment of the title of President Emeritus to outgoing President Mr. Rajendra K. Khetan. The General Body further acknowledged his outstanding contributions, commendable leadership, and pivotal role in strengthening NBCCI, and recorded its sincere appreciation for his dedicated service.
The General Body unanimously endorsed the new Executive Committee, comprising experienced professionals and industry leaders:

The newly constituted committee represents a strong blend of expertise spanning finance, trade, multinational corporations, development organizations, and entrepreneurship. This diverse leadership is expected to inject fresh momentum into NBCCI’s mission of enhancing the business environment and expanding opportunities for Nepal–UK collaboration.
Incoming President Dr. Roshan Rathi expressed his appreciation to the members for their confidence and reaffirmed his commitment to revitalizing NBCCI’s initiatives. He emphasized the Chamber’s role as a strategic platform for promoting bilateral business relations, facilitating market access, encouraging investment, and strengthening partnerships between the private sectors of Nepal and the United Kingdom.
