The Department for Business and Trade (DBT), the British Embassy Kathmandu, Nepal in Business – Growth Advisors (NiB-GA), and the Nepal Britain Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NBCCI) jointly organized “Unlocking Tariff-Free Access to the UK: Opportunities for Nepali Exporters under the UK Developing Countries Trading Scheme (DCTS)” on 17 July 2026 in Kathmandu.

The programme brought together government officials, trade experts, exporters, and private sector representatives to discuss how Nepali businesses can benefit from the UK’s Developing Countries Trading Scheme (DCTS), which provides duty-free access for approximately 99% of eligible Nepali products. The discussions covered export opportunities, rules of origin, compliance requirements, product eligibility, and practical steps to help businesses expand their presence in the UK market.
