Honoring a Legacy of Leadership

The meeting was presided over by outgoing President Rajendra Kumar Khetan, who was honored with the prestigious title of “President Emeritus.” This recognition celebrates his long-standing contribution to the Chamber and his role in strengthening the institution. Khetan highlighted the promising new opportunities emerging from the reactivation of the UK Department for Business and Trade in Nepal, signaling a more active era of commercial partnership.

A Vision for the Future

Upon his election, Dr. Rathi expressed his commitment to expanding market access and encouraging British investment in Nepal’s growing sectors. Established in 1995, the NBCC has spent 30 years acting as a bridge for policy coordination, technology transfer, and trade delegations. With this new leadership, the Chamber aims to solidify its role as the primary link for sustainable economic growth and long-term private-sector partnerships between Nepal and the United Kingdom.
