The Nepal Britain Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NBCCI) successfully organized its Felicitation & Networking Event 2026 on April 2, 2026, at DusitPrincess Kathmandu, bringing together distinguished members, representatives from the British Embassy, government officials, private sector leaders, and key business institutions including FNCCI, CNI, NCC, and British-affiliated organizations.
The program commenced with welcome remarks by NBCCI President, Dr. Roshan Rathi, who highlighted the Chamber’s continued commitment to strengthening Nepal–UK trade, investment, and business relations.
This was followed by a presentation on Nepal–UK economic relations by Mr. Bidhyabaridhi Sigdel, Treasurer of NBCCI, outlining current trends, emerging opportunities, and the growing scope for bilateral economic engagement.
A key highlight of the event was the Fireside Chat on “Challenges & Opportunities in Nepal’s Evolving Foreign Direct Investment”, featuring an esteemed panel comprising Mr. Michael Foley (CEO, Ncell), Mr. Tim Gocher OBE (Founder & CEO, Dolma Impact Fund), and Mr. Amlan Mukherjee (CEO & MD, Unilever Nepal Ltd.). The session was moderated by renowned media personality Mr. Bhusan Dahal and offered valuable insights into Nepal’s investment landscape, policy environment, and future prospects.
The Chamber also honored President Emeritus Mr. Rajendra K. Khetan in recognition of his significant and longstanding contribution to NBCCI. In addition, Lifetime Members and General Members were presented with certificates recognizing their membership.
The event was graced by H.E. Mr. Rob Fenn, British Ambassador to Nepal, as the Guest of Honor. In his address, he reaffirmed the importance of strengthening Nepal-UK economic ties and enhancing collaboration across sectors.
The formal program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Piyush Raj Aryal, Vice President of NBCCI, followed by a networking session and high tea, fostering meaningful interaction among participants.
